How are the Sennheiser HD380s in terms of sound and portability?

I am looking for a set of headphones that I can just pop in and out of my backpack that are comfortable, sound great and have decent isolation. Do the HD380s meet up with these requirements? These will be my first "real" pair of headphones.

Here is some additional info:

•Budget: $200 or less
•Source: I'll be plugging these into my ipod, laptop, etc.
•Isolation: I would like a decent amount of isolation
•Tonal Balance: I would like the sound to be full and exciting.
•Past headphones: Apple ear buds, Beats Studio model (I know they aren't great but they were a Christmas present)
•Preferred Music: I usually listen to indie (Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons), house/trance/etc (Infected Mushroom, Astrix), rock (Queen, Dropkick Murphys), and a little bit of jazz and rap.

***Also, are the 380s fatiguing? I will be wearing these for extended use when commuting on the train and studying in the library. They also can't leak any sound like my Beats Studios do.

If the HD380s aren't that great then I will probably end up with the Senn HD25s because they seem to meet my requirements as well.

The HD380 has very nice full sound and has pretty good isolation. Sennheiser has also released n HD360 model which is more of the size of the Momentum so somewhere between on ear and over ear with a iPhone cable.

The HD380 does have a replaceable cable but it is also pretty big making it a but portable unfriendly. But being replaceable you might be able to find another more portable friendly cord.
