If you want to improve the XS in every possible way, [IF THE FIT OR SOUND ISN'T WORKING FOR YOU, it worked for me]
I Pressed down with both hands on the 'wingplate' part of the XS. While wearing it of course.
If it (headband shapes down to your head) comes down a lot, the XS is being worn wrong. Best way to test if you have a good seal is to press on two wingplates / headband and see how much it goes down. Try to find the best fit instead of wearing them like over ears, where pads do most of the work.
Sound is MAJORLY improved, isolation is almost like the M100. Listening to music 10db more than the lifetime limit to the XS (32db) according to dosimeter.
Hope this helps you all. I'll elaborate on my method if need be.

i agree i don't understand how the isolation is the same as the m100s... the headband out of the box is already so form fitting (u don't need to flatten it anymore)..... unless ur head is even flatter than that. unless i'm missing somethign here

btw spiderNhan thanks for the review! good stuff the boompro mic is really coming through clear! i wish i can actually find some use for it other than phone calls. i rarely game, but it sounds much clearer than the speak easy cable

oh i figured id add this here without flooding with replies my review on the xs (finally!)

Nono, you don't want to flatten the headband.
The way I got a good fit was: If the headband comes down on your head more after pressing down on it when you're wearing the XS, you 're not wearing them right. The XS are great with a proper seal.

sorry wrong use of the word flatten

i didn't mean flatten in a horizontal fashion

but flatten with this kind of force --><--- so vertically flatten (so my statement earlier " the xs does not need any flattening i meant vertically flattening. its so form fitting already anymore vertically flattening then theres a gap at the top between the your head and the headband

well every headphone sounds better with a proper seal but i don't think we (or at least i) understand what your saying. how are you make it "seal" better please elaborate

just an interesting question for xs owners or potentially previous (or current m80 owners)

i heard many accounts saying the m80s sound similar to the shure se215

i had heard the se215 a while back, but i was wondering if anyone here has a pair of those on hand to really listen to? any maybe compare it with the xs?

just curious because if the se215 is like the m80s but at 99$ plus obviously better isolation, wouldn't it make it STEAL?!

XS should be a bit angled, but a bit flat on your ears while wearing it. Try all the different clicks (headband clicker / adjuster) and see which sounds better.
The headband is find, form fitting etc.
but. You can always try and see which clicks out of the headphone extender clicks thing works best for you.

Sorry for what seems like nonsense to you, but it's hard to explain something like this.

So the way it should fit is like a circle. It's perfectly round. Now. Imagine a circle all the way around your head. It's round.

The XS' fit on your head should look as if they were a small semicircle, the whole circle going round your head. Almost hugging it, which is the whole MIND THE GAP campaign, hugging your head comfortably, but reducing the gap, making it look more natural.
With the drivers not too angled, not too flat. This will help you get a good seal, but just try all the clicks and see if that helps.

This sounds like gibberish but it actually works.

that last picture looks like you put the extended the headband too much, the headband looks too falling too far forward

i dunno i wear them like i do in the review i posted above slightly shifted back

to each their own i guess

I have both the se215 and the XS. To me there is no comparison. The only advantage the se215 has over the XS IMO is isolation.

Interesting.. Could u elaborate?? I was interested in the se215 a while back, worried the m80s wouldnt have enough isolation for my commuting purposes.

Supposedly their sound sig is similar, could be wrong though. Just wondering

That's a picture of the M-100 and it's being worn incorrectly.
