Hum.... The 1r looks pretty good to me..... since i have the hd25-1 iis i guess it makes more sense to get the 1r as a confortable home/outside alternative to my momentums.... My main concern is everyone talking the low end does not go very deep (its good but not hd25 good or momentum good from what i read.....)....

Why even get the 1r if you have the momentum? The momentum sounds roughly similar to the 1r. The momentum is better though overall technically.

Because the bad seal and awkward fit makes me crazy when i am on the streets. If i loose seal i lose bass. I love the momentums dont get me wrong but it is stupid to keep a pair of lifestyle headphones when the lifestyle purpose is compromised. To give you an ideia if i keep my head straight thats fine, but if i turn my head to the sides the seal is affected on the right side and therefore i lose bass and that makes the headphones sound uneven... if it was not for this my momentums would not go anywhere...

That is actually the exact reason that I swapped out my momentums over-ear to the mdr-1rs! lol.

You also !ost seal on the right side? Finally someone who gets me.... :-)
If only sennheiser released a pair of xl pads like v moda did... But i dont see that coming and also the pads are too damn expensive... A pair of pads for the momentums costs almost as much as a pair of v6s or a pair of koss pro100s here in europe....
