I bought some Skullcandy headphones about a year ago at an fye closing sale, and have regretted the purchase since I got them. I need new headphones. To further explain what I'm looking for, these are some of the qualities I want:
-They must be comfortable for long sessions. They should not fatigue my ears either, so I don't want anything with excessive bass.
-Sound quality should be good enough to pick out subtle details, but it doesn't need to be exceptional.
-Price should float at around $100, plus or minus $50.
-Individually replaceable parts would be great, but aren't necessary. At the very least, I'd like a replaceable cable.
That's about it for what I'm looking for. I live with roommates, so closed cans are essential. These will mostly be used for metal, especially power metal (Kamelot, Blind Guardian). I listen to other genres besides metal, plus movies and podcasts, so they should be good for general use too. I listen to music at a low to medium volume, and I like to listen to podcasts and music while walking, so portability is a necessity. A friend recommended Sennheisers, so I've mostly been looking at those, and have found them to have the best comfort. I will most likely want something from them, but have yet to find which model is preferable.
