Looking for all-around great headphones for ~$250.00

Hello!

Before you ask, I want accurate bass (I'm not a bass head) and these will stay at home. e/ over the ear, please.

I'm currently trying to shrink my setup, and to do that I'm moving into the headphone area.

I have a Schiit Modi DAC, and I plan on purchasing the Magni amp so I can have a nice stack of Schiit.

I am having a really hard time choosing a pair of headphones.

I'm looking for something that meets these requirements:

Nice looking

Great sound

Preferably closed because I don't want to annoy my roommate.

I don't want these headphones to lack anywhere. I want some clear highs, and potent mids (just not quiet and lacking), and accurate bass. Basically I want a euphoric listening experience with a wide range of music/games.

e/ I listen to all kinds of music.

I've looked at the AKG Q 701's but I read somewhere that their midrange was terrible so I backed off...

Thanks

Sennheiser HD 600's are looking good but they're a little out of price range.. I could always run these without an amp for a while

Hello,

The HD600 is open and leaks sound, and so is the Q701. I personally like the AKG K550. It's a closed headphone, thus does not leak sound. It have the airy and open sound signature with overall, very balanced sound.

Hope it helps
