Atrios MG7/Universals Discontinued??

They are no longer listed and their Canadian site, atrio.me, has been taken down. Can anyone confirm that Future Sonics has dropped out of the universal market? Or are they releasing a new line of universals?

According to Kunlun, they're getting ready to release a new version. It's been a good many months already, though.

I spoke to the head of Future Sonics last week. I got the impression that we will see a new universal from them, but it won't be soon at all.

This is something I will follow up on in a number of months and see what's developing.

Months? Months?? MONTHS?!

(I'm surprised they cancelled the Atrio when its successor is still so far in the future.)

I spoke to the head of Future Sonics today and I have a little update.

For those who would like a set of Atrios, Future Sonics itself has a limited stock remaining. These are for the people the Atrios was designed for: Pro-musicians. The Atrios is a stage monitor and it's great for small bands, church musicians, etc. who aren't going to lay down a lot of money for a ciem.

With that in mind, I have the okay from FS to say that if you really want one, you can call and talk to FS directly and say you'd like to buy a set of Atrios. Like I said, it's a limited stock, so no promises from the cat! You might even end up making your case to the head of FS himself. He's very nice, though.

Oh, I do have a pair. I also managed to get one as a present for a friend before it was officially retired. But now I'm curious about what FS is preparing as a new universal. The Atrio is already one of the best bangs for the buck, yet they stopped making it, so I assumed they had managed to produce an even better IEM, same as when they went from MG5 to MG7.
