I'll admit upfront that I'm not at all knowledgeable about headphones or the ins and outs of audio. However, after years of every few months shelling out ten dollars hear and there for cheap, low quality head phones I'd like to finally get a pair that will last me for a few years. As for fit, I usually find the rubber tips comfortable.
As I posted in the title, these headphones will mostly be playing extreme metal. Primarily technical death metal, black metal, goth metal, and deathcore. I'll also be using them for gaming and some jazz and classical.
I'm working on something of a limited budget. I'd like to keep the price under $50, but I'm willing to go as high as $75-$100 if I have to.
One other little piece of information. My laptop for some reason is pretty quite on a lot of pairs of headphones (and like to listen to my music loud regardless of the source) so I'd like ones that stay transparent at high volume.
Also, I don't want ones that need an amp. I'm also planing to use my MP3 player with them. Also, I don't really have the money to shell out for an amp.
Thanks in advance. Hopefully I provided enough information to help you all.
