It was a difficult decision, but I have decided to sell my Smyth Research Realizer A8; I am going back to speakers for my primary listening (whether I'll be able to sell my STAX SR-009s, I cannot say...). The review of the Realizer on computeraudiophile.com (and re-posted to headfi.org) is my own and what I said there still goes: Wow. It is truely an amazing headphone processor with admittedly, some puzzling (read: not good) decisions in terms of inputs and outputs. But if your primary source is a Bluray player or a computer with an HDMI output, there is not only nothing better, nothing else really compares.
The soon-to-be-yours Realizer is about 1 1/2 years old and in perfect shape (9/10 per Audiogon's rating system, at least). It is basically brand new with all of the original accessories (also like-new), boxes, etc.; please see the pictures. It is the latest hardware version, with HDMI-in, of course, and is running the latest firmware as well.
My price is firm, but I'll pick up any shipping within the Continental USA. It will ship after a private check clears or immediately with a cashiers check or PayPal, though the latter's fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please PM with any questions and thanks for looking.
