Head-Fi 2013 Christmas Gift Exchange Whadjaget? Thread

I know this is early - but some of us will be exchanging digitally, and we'll know what we have early.

So please list below (once known):

Who was your partner and what did you get?

Include thoughts on the choices if you're inclined to.

And many thanks to Asr for organising the initial 2013 Head-Fi Holiday Gift Exchange thread :beerchug:

My Audeze LCD-X just arrived! Thanks so much for the gift!

Now I have to go search for a proper amp for this thing.

will post as soon as my partner and I have the details for our gifts worked out! :D
keep this going yearly and it'll be an awesome thread for music digging and gift ideas!

Umm....why didn't we just put the whatdyaget thread with the gift exchange thread? Seems redundant, but I'll post here as well.

Gotcha! Maybe my gift partner will post up, up to him really. He's already gotten part of the gift today

Huh. Do people usually send one, or two albums for their gift? I was planning to send one, but a lot of the photos in last year's thread suggest otherwise.

Hey Miceblue, I think 1 is fine as long as it's something you and your exchange partner go by. There are no set rules, although the guidelines say $20-30. 2 is probably more the norm, not for quantity reasons but just to be able to give a different flavor of music.

Go Dawgs!

Sounds good to me. tongue.gif
I have two albums in mind, but I couldn't decide which one to gift. XD
I guess I'll send my partner a PM about whether to send 1 or 2 albums.

My partner and I agreed a limit and that we are happy with Amazon used CDs as the budget will stretch further. I buy a lot of older albums this way and have only ever had to exchange one duff CD.

I usually shop used on Amazon as well, however the rules says new and not your used stuff. Shoulda talked it over with my partner but too late. Next year I'll keep the used idea in mind, for the price of 2 you can have 4-6 depending if you shop from the same used seller.
