Nah. There's no reason to raise the desire (and thus the expectations, and thus the potential for disappointment) for customers who've already shed the dough.

When someone tells you in the middle of the week that shipping will be at the end of the week there is usually little reason to doubt them. Especially since my situation it a bit dicey and they are certain I'll get them before I move. I see no reason to doubt them at this time personally.

Well, the thing is, they said last week they would be shipping before the end of the week too. Then that they would be shipping on Monday. And now before the end of this week....

So I'm no longer counting the days. They'll come when they do.

If by "They" you mean the company as a whole on the Kickstarter, then I'd agree. But I was told by two separate people in my emails that I should expect shipment notice no later than Monday.

I think they had some issues with the filter in the nozzle or something during QC, so they had to go back and address all those the were assembled. Really annoying that it's taking so long, but we're in the home stretch at least

I now take any ETD with an extreme grain of salt.  One should just purge the fact of ever ordering and hopefully be surprised upon physical delivery.  This and the LH kickstarter projects has me completely jaded. I personally think for any kickstarter project, there should be monetary penalties/discounts/reimbursements for sever late delivery milestones.  It would help motivate the "on time, on budget" promises and keep the supply chain flexible but focused, and delivery milestones relatively free from repetitive excuses. I would be more lenient with first time "start up" entrepreneurs, but Aurisonics is far from one.

Well, at least there should be penalties for overstating delivery promises. If they state the expected shipping date is "February 2014", it should not take until August. That would at least keep companies honest and dissuade them from making big statements and keep to more conservative estimates like "Q2 2014" or something like that. Normally, when there isn't a hard deadline for a product launch, that's how companies report their intentions. It's possible that Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and all these crowdfunding campaigns just don't give companies the option to state things this way? I don't know. If so, then it's the fault of these crowdfunding sites. At the very least, there should be a panel of the campaign required for all product campaigns to map out clear delivery milestones, and fallback plans should these milestones not be met. Basically, companies need to be clearer and more upfront about how they're delivering their products, and if they're unable to deliver, they should be held accountable.

Quote from the official update for June 19th:
ROCKETS will start shipping end of June so it won't be long now!

Quote from the official update for July 4th:

ROCKETS will start shipping out to the first 50 backers (non-mic version) by the end of next week.

Quote from a comment from Dale on July 12th:

we have the first batch assembled and they were going through QC for shipping starting Monday

Now, let me reiterate that I'm not usually impatient, as far as such things are concerned. I've backed up several Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects, and none of them has been on schedule. Some have been delayed a lot longer than the Rockets, and I never commented on it. The reason why I've been posting here is that the repeatedly pushed back, very close deadlines have succeeded in whetting my desire. I think that, on June 19th, it would have been safer for Aurisonics to just state "ROCKETS will start shipping end of July" (and give reasons). People would have groaned then, but not been on their back.

This said, the update from 4 hours ago stated that shipping has started.

Just a few question regarding the Rockets.

What is the Sound Sig on these guys?....

Has anybody heard them?....

I'm sure someone that has demoed them can answer your first, but I am not sure.... As to the second a few people have demoed prototypes at shows or by visiting the factory.

The third question is unknown... I think they were slated to be 250 or 300 but due to a cable change that price has gone up.

There will be plenty of more reviews coming in soon. As the first 50 have reportedly been shipped and should be arriving to backers sometime (hopefully) next week.

I thought I'd post Dale's comment from KS here:

    Hi Everyone,
Will post a formal update with pics but just want everyone to know we did start shipping finally today. We intended to begin shipping earlier this week but things just did not go as planned. Some small issues occurred with the sealant where the nozzle is threaded onto the body which had us questioning the waterproofing. To be sure, we held shipping to ensure we tested this out to make sure they were waterproof. This issue has been fixed.

Our antiloops also had some issues with how they clip onto the wire that we thought were fixed a few weeks ago, but in final QC and testing we found they were not. We are making small changes to the mold on that part. This will not stop the shipping of ROCKETS as we will just ship them without antiloops then mail them out when they are available to those who did not get them. Once we have the new antiloops any orders in cue will ship with them.

On the black wires the shell marking put on by laser did not make it easy to see which side was which so we have also changed that to a small red ring for right side on the wire behind the titanium end and a blue ring on the other wire in the same place for left. Pics to follow.

Thank you again for your patience and support of ROCKETS! - Dale

I like how Dale is making sure things are right before shipping them out. That's pretty much how it should always be.
