If you want Aurisonic iems at discount, you need to purchase them from authorized dealers.  Here's a little secret, contact Springtree Media Group.  You may need to wait a week or two as there's a backlog with fulfillment.

Those guys are awesome. Highly recommended

too rich for my blood..

Yeah. I haven't heard it but on paper it seems like a good fit.

yes.. i'm planning to get that one, either the sony or ibasso dx50 or i'll just go to dx90
I do find that the Ip6 pairs very well with the rockets.

i prefer an independent source though.. thanks for your suggestion btw

what do you think of dx50 or sony nwz-a15 for the rockets?

I chose Sony, DX50 sounds better actually. But for battery life, portability, lightness, Sony is the winner.

I cant insert picture yet, but here's my potato quality picture of rocket+A15: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-8KCdpp6VLtg/VMuHaHVCrDI/AAAAAAAAEb8/ONFOeGkST68/s512/potato.jpg

I do not find the rockets synergize well with DX50. DX50 HO with rockets sounded rather blend. Leaning towards brighter side of things and pretty mild bass. Of course the firmware you're using on the DX50 plays a part too. If coupled with an amp like say E11K with DX50, the rockets sounded much fuller with slightly more warmth and fuller bass.

However I do find the rockets pair pretty well with Cowon J3. Even with X5 they sound a little harsh on certain brighter tracks.

DX50 = more bright, more airy soundstage, nice separation. I dont even recognize my Rockets anymore with it. I tested it in the shop and didnt play too much with it.
Sony = without EQ first time I bought it, it's plaaaaaain and boring, more to mid, my iPod touch 5 sounds better. I didn't even happy with the sound first time I have it. But 100+ hours past and the sound is getting better and I ended up happy with it. First I always use EQ or Clearaudio+ to make it sound better, now I dont use any of those. Either my ears being adjusted or the sound really getting better through time I dont know. The mid get more detail, the bass and treble are just right for me now, it sound "cleaner" than my iPod. Better you try it in the nearby shop first.

I have it in my head that these are gonna sound like the ER4S with a more forward midrange and a better soundstage, but I know it's going to be more complicated than that. I liked the ER4 a lot so that sounds good to me.

Are they difficult to wear over the ear without those antimatter things?

It actually better to wear without those 'antimatter things' for me. The tricky part is finding a couple of tips that suits you if you're not happy with the stock one. I ended up using Sony, Hippo and one other tips that I dont know from what brand. I got all of those free from the local shop I bought the Rockets, they have so many unused spare tips. The grado tips is the best, unfortunately they dont wanna give me.

Using it  over-ear is better cos it minimize the microphobic issue, I use a $2 earhook as my earlobe is small.

I guess it's a little different for everyone. I have troubles keeping the wire around my ears without ear guides. Using the antiloops helps a little but maybe my ears are just shaped funny or something.

So a treble-bumping EQ sound profile, when combined with the Comply Tx-500s, is absolutely phenomenal at decent volumes! Isolation is over 9000! Treble is much nicer to my ears. Either I was having a terrible fit all along with these and my GR07 BEs, but I really doubt it.

That said, the only experience I really have with the IEMs are with the Vsonics and these.
