Need Help Buying Good Pair of Headphones

Hello everyone,
this is my second time posting on the forums, the first had no success and I really need your help. My girlfriends birthday (and our 6 month) is coming up soon, and I would like to know which over the ear headphones you would recommend. Sound quality is a must! She listens to mainly older music, like David Bowie and Lou Reed, so it's all mainly pop/rock from the 70's and 80's. She also enjoys the occasional oldies song as well. I would like to stay under $200 if possible, I am a hard working guy and can't really afford the best of the best, but hopefully you can all help me. I know brands like Audio Technica and Sennheiser are great, but beyond the brands I know next to nothing so the more details you can give me, the better.
Thanks for your time.

*edit*
I am considering the Sennheiser HD558's (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FEEY9A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) paired with a small Fiio E3 Headphone Amp (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MPWMDA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AM2O1JUKI6X8W).
Would this be a nice pairing?

The HD 558 is an excellent can that is currently at a great price on Amazon.  It is easy to drive.

You did not mention from what your girlfriend will be driving these cans.

The HD 558 is an open headphone.  Is she OK with open cans (they leak sound and don't isolate well)?

Hello,

The HD558 leaks sound and does not isolates well. If she's fine with it, that's good as they really sound good! Otherwise, if she needs a little bit of isolation, there is the AKG K167 which I find them to sound good with her genre

All the best sir!

She will mostly be listening to music at home from her computer, so noise leaking will be no problem. Thanks for the information!

I've never heard of the AKG's, I will definitely look them up though. :)
