Do Fake Sennheiser HD 380 Pro's exist?

Hi All,

Just received my Sennheiser HD 380 Pros after eager anticipation.  However, I purchased them from a third party vendor on Amazon, Everythingdeals, but the order was fulfilled by Amazon.  Upon searching their name, I noticed they were dealing fake Fiio amps even though they were an authorized distributor at some point (it doesn't look like they are anymore).  Now I'm a bit worried and might send them back and just pay $20 extra to buy it directly from Amazon.  Or am I being too paranoid?  Thoughts?

Call Sennheiser and ask them to help you verify if they are real or fake.

Lots of sketchy products can be had, shipped directly out the back of a shenzhen factory on eBay. I've bought many PC parts with stickers attached that say, 'engineering sample only'. In those instances I knew exactly what I was getting into by the price and shipping origin of the item.

As for HD380pro, I just bought the real thing in a B&M store. The packaging and literature was exactly what you would expect for the price, even Sennheiser's product spec sheet calls it out as premium cardboard (lol).

If you'd like we can compare what you received from the seller, just post some pics and I will do the same.
