FiiO X3 Initial Faliure

I've followed the directions posted for clearing the initial failure and they do not work.

I get the initial screen and an immediate shutoff with the "See You - Digital Music Player" exit screen. I've contacted support - but has anybody encountered this?

Check the hold switch on the side. You probably have it in the locked position.

Maybe the battery is running low or get exhausted, please get it recharged for a while to try again!

It gets almost everyone. It's part of the initiation for new X3 users - welcome to the club :beerchug:

Well, for me it isn't the Hold switch. When I start the X3 without headphones, everything seems fine, battery indicator show full battery, player is on. Then I plug in headphones (Beyers DT 1350, but I've tried Audiotechnica T500 too) and immediately battery indicator gets a bit lower (not empty) and the player switch off (with that ususal relay clicking sound). This doesn't seem right. Has anybody else encountered this? Should I return the player for repair? Thank you.

Try lowering the player volume to zero before plugging in the headphones. You may have the player at too high a volume and the brief short circuit on plugging and unplugging headphones may be tripping the internal protection circuit?

I've tried it, didn't help. The only thing that helps is charging player to max again.
