Worth it. But still disliked by many people because it is virtually identical to the real thing.

Please don't ask me where I got it, because you don't want it.

Nope, that's why I used the word "virtually". I'll leave the proving/disproving to someone else who has a pair and is willing to take it apart and photographically document it.

I see... thought you heard both pairs and you were talking about the sound

The real question is, do the fake ones sound better? :) $43 is much more accurate value of the sound quality you get of the real one, I'd say it's worth roughly 40-$50 based on sound quality alone. The JVC on-ears sound much better in comparison and offer nearly the same amount bass.

To me, they sounded about the same. All down to the noisy silence and bass-biased balance. Surprisingly though, these have tighter bass and it's less muddy. It probably has more midtones, too.

So yes, they do sound better, especially given the price.

I got it from an Alibaba seller. It looks like they have replica Sennheiser Momentums now.

I have an unhealthy craving for a set of these...

Bear in mind that the one pictured was the Monster version right after the non-monster version was released; that's why it's cheaper. Now I think you can only get the non-Monster version.

Those drivers look about the same as the fake drivers in my Sennheiser 448, which gets no listening time at all.

For those that like graphs : http://en.goldenears.net/11063

According to these, the fakes seem to sound better.
