Need a new Amp/receiver, looking for suggestions

Hi guys. I never got big into dedicated source stuff so I'm hoping you can help me out. My dad built these speakers in college ('73) and by the time I got my hands on them, the drivers needed to be replaced. Having done that I decided to power them with the same receiver he used, the Pioneer SX-6 paired with a PL-7 turntable. Well, something popped and it doesn't work anymore. There are plenty out there and I'm wondering if should get another one or if there was something better for the money I could get. I'm just running an analog line from my PC to the amp, so I don't need anything fancy. Thanks.

You can also post receiver/amplifier questions on the websites avsforum & avforum.

Did you have a budget for a new receiver.

I own the Yamaha RX-V671, works fine for me.

This place sells a Yamaha RX-V671 refurb for $300.

Or maybe you would prefer a Denon receiver.

I was looking for something in the $100 range. Something used.  ~ 50W/ch with several inputs.

The SX-6 is a pretty solid unit actually. You can get 'em for as cheap as $50 if you look hard. I'm just wondering if there was something better.
