Spring meet Planning

I would like to know what people think.

Would you rather continue to have the meets at my home, or find a venue.  The ones that I found at hotels are about 250-300 bucks for 8 hours of use.  Which means people would have to bring some cash for the cost of the room.

I certainly appreciate you hosting meets at your house, but a slightly more spacious venue would also be cool if it could be had for cheap.  I'm not too familiar with the venue options out there though.

FWIR I thought the Dayton Meet venue (chapel) was very nice.  There was more room for people to lay out their gear and room to have more setups going.

I don't think I have had a problem with set ups yet.  Most times a couple guys leave before everyone gets there so I have the room.  But I would like to see more then 8-10 people not that is a bad number, just would like to see a few more people,

The Dayton meet had around the same amount of people show up and I don't think Happy Camper paid for the room.  I would have to have people pitch in for the meet 10-15 bucks plus there would be a time limitation on the meet verses now where we can go as long as people are willing to stay. Only a few people stay late but its still really fun for those few.  Like the one before this last meet we stayed up till about 2am ish talking listening to music and eating mass amounts of jets pizza.

The drive back to Cincinnati leaving as late as I did sucked. It also hurt when I had to work the next day. Ugh. Still, totally worth it to make it up and meet everyone. Chase, how long are you going to be deployed?

For the spring meet, I'm on the fence. I'd be willing to pay a bit for more space, but of course I'd want to make sure that we took full advantage of the space as well to make the investment worthwhile. So it would need to be a bit bigger than what we had last time.

On a meet equipment related note come spring I should have my Geek Out by then. It'll hopefully be arriving late January or early February if I'm lucky. I'm sure a handful of people would enjoy giving a listen to it. I only got the base model as it'll be used with sensitive headphones so don't expect it to power LCDs like the early reviews mention; they had the Super Duper Geek. And if I'm super lucky I'll be the first wave of upgrades to the Alpha Dogs in January as well. If I am, I'd probably get them back around early March at the current speed they're completing new orders. So maybe they'll be here in time for that one? I'm getting them with the balanced 4-pin cable.

The next meet will be on a Sat again, I will use a PTO day for that one so more people can get more time with gear. As well as gear I have a Vali and Bushmills x Grado for the next meet so that should be fun.
