The cable and the hole the cable comes out of not even close to the same size.  So I noticed that if i moved my head left or right i could hear the cable knock against the wood cup. I plan on fixing this when i balance the headphone with some rubber gourmets or rubber glue to hold the cable in place so its not knocking around other then that comfies are fine but i still want to try the L's and G's

Do you know of a specific grommet that would do the trick in this application? I assume it would have to be split/open in order to clip on to the cable.

I am looking for something like that to . Thank you

Just go to your local hardware store and buy a bag of assorted vinyl grommets

You will have to cut them, or unsolder the wires to put them on. I cut mine and slipped them up into the cup so they are not visible.

Thanks, I see that there are types called "snap in split bushings" that look like they would work, but I'm not sure of the measurements for the hole and the cable.

Yes, I was going to give you the correct name, but I cut that part of the bag off when I opened then a few years ago. I was going to call them 2 sided grommets because of the slit in the middle you can put them between lets say a hole in a piece of sheet metal and the grommet is symmetrical on both sides. When you buy the assorted bag you will find the correct size, I don't recall the exact size, maybe it is 3/16, but like I said you will find it in the bag.
