From IE80 to UE900, worth the money?

I got my IE80 for about $280, and it serves me pretty well after replacing with a custom cord. The mid and high definitely see improvements, but I still wonder if there's more out there.

I used to own a pair of TF10 before my IE80, great resolution on high and mid, not so good on bass, relatively to IE80 of course.

UE900 is on sale for just $350, from $450 before, that's quite some change from where I live (Taiwan), I saw this as a chance. Now my question is quite simple, will it make a big difference and is it worth the money?

Yes, without a doubt, there's gonna be less bass, more high and mid range and better clarity (at least what I've heard), what do you guys think?

Probably not. Let me explain myself: UE900 signature is relatively flat, and if you complained about TF10 bass, I have to say you'll be dissapointed. Some dynamics can achieve a good amount of detail against multiple drivers configuration, I suggest you to stick with the IE80 a bit more before upgrade.

I see. Probably going to get a custom after this anyways.
