Is there a bendable material that I can use to attach the mic to my headphones? Or is there a different mic that can pick up my voice from the headphone chord? I seen some people recommend the Zalman, but Mad Lust Envy didn't think it was as good as the DX mic.
The advantage of having something like the Modmic (or any headset) is that the microphone is very close to your mouth. Even a high end condenser microphone, while providing great sound, will pick up tons of background noise.
I have both the Zalman and the Modmic, along with a couple desktop mics, and by FAR I prefer the Modmic for gaming. The Zalman picks up my keyboard too much, and my shirt rustling, and is just quieter all around. The desktop ones aren't much better.
You could try the hardware store to get some bendable wire if you want to try to make your own. But for $34 bucks I think the Modmic is the best option.
