I need some new headphones and I am currently debating between:
•V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Over-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Shadow)
•Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO, 80 ohms
•Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium 32 ohm Headphones (I think these are open)
•Audio-Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 Professional DJ Monitor Headphones
I'm a bit new to this. If you can, please list the headphones from best to worst. Also, if any of these headphones need an amp, could you recommend one please? I will be purchasing these from amazon.
•Budget: $200 or less (I know the V-Moda are out of my budget but if they truly are the best out of these then I am willing to spend an extra $100 but give an alternate suggestion in the event I cannot afford them)
•Source: I'll be plugging these into my ipod, laptop, etc.
•Isolation: I would like at least some isolation (so I guess I prefer closed headphones?)
•Tonal Balance: I would like an emphasized bass but I don't want anything else to be buried.
•Past headphones: Apple ear buds, Studio Beats (I know they aren't great but they were a Christmas present)
•Preferred Music: Honestly, I listen to almost every genre of music equally. (Jazz, House, Rock, etc)
I will be using these headphones on the train when I commute so I would prefer if the headphones don't have any leakage like the Beats do. I would also be using these for extended periods of time so they need to be comfortable as well.
If you have any other suggestions than what I listed above or need additional information then please let me know.
