New DAP

I was happy with my Sansa Clip+ plus Fiio E11 & Grado SR225i but as of late when I play files from Chesky Recordings my Sansa Clip+ dies.

I am now in the market for a DAP to replace Sansa. Any suggestion? Pls. keep the budget 200$ and less.

Thanks.

Sandisk Sansa Clip Zip 4GB, $40. Add a Micro-SD memory card, 16GB?

The website anythingbutipod has a lot of info/reviews/threads on DAPs.

From my best understanding, the reliability on the Sandisk Sansa series is not as good as some of the other brands.

I guess there are some trade offs for some thing that sells for that low a price.

So, I'm thinking (guessing) your having a hardware problem.

You could try reinstalling/updating the firmware on the Clip+.

I would suggest going on eBay and buying a used Sony E series, nice screen.

I think you are right. By the way, what are you using now?

Thanks.
