Micro vs Mini Hi-fi system comparisons?

what's so good about Micro systems except that they save space? quite a few systems I see are £300-500 or even more! a real nice looking one is the Denon D-M39DAB at £319, I like bass in my music that the mini systems give but all the micro systems look a whole lot better and it will be loud enough with enough bass for me i hope as i can't have it too loud for the neighbours to complain!

so if anyone could list reasons why micro's are better than mini's that'd be great. and does anyone know why they are so much more than some systems with bigger bass chasis?

I think with micro systems, the materials and design have to be a little better to get decent sound out of small space.  But it is mostly a styling thing, they're not going to sound hugely different especially if it's 1 manufacturer.  Micro systems won't wake the neighbors but the one you linked should sound pretty clean & clear.  It could be that some of the extra size in the mini system is just "filler" and the micro systems are a bit more concentrated in their design.  The other thing is target audience.  Micro systems are often stuffed with the best tech and parts as they're for some executive's desk where space is at a premium.  They're going to try to cram the most sound into the least space.  That said, I'm certain there's some cheap micro systems out there if you don't go with a brand as high end as Denon.
