For Sale:
LA7000 - Denon D7000 with Lawton Cups and high end balanced cable

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Up for sale is a Denon D7000 with Lawton Cups and aphrodite Cu29's Zeus cable (~10 ft).

Fully balanaced cable with dual 3 pin XLRs (furutech's super expensive ones which cost ~130 a pair).

Wenge wood cups on the D7000. Modded the cups and will include dynamat extreme if you want to do the rest of the Lawton mod (I don't recommend it since these sound AMAZING as is)

Basically you have a beautiful LA700 with a BETTER cable than the Jena labs one in PERFECT condition.

Comes with a Beyerdynamic DT990 carry case (lost the original presentation box during my move to LA)

You won't be disappointed with the looks or the sound.

Trades welcome, serious cash offers welcome (LA7000 costs ~1700-1800 when all is said and done, D7000 alone sells for ~800 nowadays)

I have perfect feedback and intend to keep it that way.

and wow 179 feed back over 4 years good stuff man,

anyways. Those are lovely looking! I'm planning on doing a full DA to my D2k, I got wood back cups, going to mod the drivers my self and getting Brain at BTG for the recable and Mr.Speakers [Aka Dan] Alpha Pads... all for less than the price of a used D7k xD I wonder how it will compare q.q

Not a discussion thread so I'll keep it short - the law of diminishing returns is always present. A properly modded D2K will get you fairly close for a fraction of the price...but as always you have to spend WAAAY more to get that next level of sound an all those subtle improvements we audiophiles crave. Your plan seems solid though. Have fun with the mods and I hope your D2K turns out the way you want.

If you want more info, feel free to PM me. I too modded a D2K first...then worked my way up to the D5K and finally ended my Denon journey with this sexy beast. Of course back in those days the Denons were a little easier to find.

@ onefatsurfer - Will miss them, but it's been a fun ride! All good things must come to an end.

@ KimChee - Lack of foresight on my part. I had a balanced set up so went for the balanced cable. I do have an adapter which will get you a 3.5mm connection from the Dual 3-Pin XLR. I can throw this in for free.

DO they make a 3pin dual  to 4pin balanced adapter?

Honestly, I think it should be possible, but I've never bought one, made one or seen one so I can't promise anything!
