Looking for Sub 250 amps + dac

Hi, I'm looking for a sub $250 amp and dac which will compliment and work with the Ultrasone Pro 900's. Thus far I have narrowed it down to these:

1. Schiit Modi and Magni combo

2. Schiit Modi and Bravo Audio Ocean tube amplifier

3. Schiit Modi and Vali

4. Audio-GD NFB 15.32

Feel free to give other recommendations.

Thanks in advance

Alright, how is the Vali? I haven't seen a review of it yet.

Presumably very good from what I've heard/read. As you might know, the pro 900 isn't exactly the smoothest 'phone and has a pretty potent treble, so the vali (as a tube hybrid amp) might help with that. The magni is said to be a brighter sounding amp.

Yeap, I heard about Magni being a bright amp. That's the sole reason for considering the Bravo Audio Ocean. I'll look into the vali myself as well. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hey man, Just read some reviews on that amp. I heard it makes the sound warm so I assume it will be good for the ultrasones. Thanks man, I appreciate it.

you are welcome. I am glad that I could give you an useful suggestion. It can drive wide range of cans. so no need to change amp, unless you start to itch for a new one.

EDIT: nvm, thread closed. I'm gonna go with the nfb 15.32 as soon as I can.

@The Vali has a beautiful analog signature with punchy deep bass and rich mids, but maintains very crisp treble" - just a random quote

Well, it seems to me that the general consensus is that the vali is very neutral for a tube amp, yet less bright than the magni.
