Ok Head-Fi fam.. help me end my search

I've been a member for a few year and gone through many headphones. Yet my search continues for a rig that hits the sweet spot.

Right now I am using a DX50, C&C BH2, and Vsonic VSD1S, and I am not satisfied with the sound. It may be the DX50.. but before I switch it out I figured I'd try the less expensive option and get another IEM.

I prefer a mid-centric sound signature. The most important thing for me are VOCALS. I need vocals to sound transparent, detailed, natural and intimate. Where it feels like that singer is singing next to me :).

The closest I think I've gotten to that so far has been the Vsonic gr07, re262 and from distant memory the Shure se530.

What else is out there that I'm not thinking of? Something that outperforms the above options?

Any help would be much appreciated!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I have yet to hear an IEM with better SQ than the GR07BE. The Sony ex1000 should be good for the type of SQ you are looking for but they are so much more expensive.

The RE-400 s deliver outstanding vocals.

Another intimate iem is the CKS1000. But they're fairly coloured.  But read some reviews to see if it fits your sig preference.

Other mid-focused options : SE535, BA200, RE-262, SM3, MDR7550, Monster tributes

What's your budget?

Thanks guys! A couple headphones there that I haven't tried.

Zamorin, I have heard that the GR07BE has mids that are slightly more recessed than the nilla or MKII gr07s, so I think I will pass on that. The Sony EX1000 sounds interesting though. They seem to have faded away I don't hear people talk about them much anymore!

Getclikinagas, I may have to think about the TDK BA200.

My budget would ideally be under $200 but if its something that's going to really blow me away I'd be willing to go a little higher.

Thanks guys happy Black Friday!
