REVIEW: HisoundAudio BA100 - Page 2

Might as well go for the VSD1/S or Quadbeat 2 both blow them away.

At least the XBA1 has solid build, A161Ps build is disgraceful, glad Meelec has a new flagship.

+1 Agreed for both lines. Haven't tried QB2 but based on the reviews/sound impressions I might giv a shot soon for that budget.

Really a same tier contender is top priority first when it comes to first level comparison IMHO, than same price tag/different tier,I second them. In this case cheap MEE's 151 is one of direct candidate being single BA Vs BA100, rather than Dynamics in the first place to compare (215,RE400,GR07 etc).

We have Astrotec AM90,Dunu's-2 models, even apple dual BA etc as well which fall sub$100 category Vs BA100. Of these I think BA100's build, shell is far better and so is AM90. The look of the BA100's nozzle resembles FTG's Parterre .

thanks for the input. I'm a bit confused, though - so are you saying that the SE215 are a tier above the BA100, or vice versa?

No.I'm just saying that BA100 is a single balanced armature where as 215 is dynamic. Both are different entities so different tiers.......I meant.

I liked the A161P for it's clarity, but not it's bass.

A161P > BA100 (The A161P is clearer to me)

Somic MH407 > A161P > BA100 (The MH407 has a little more bass and retains the clarity)

I have a new 407 and a barely used BA100 in the for sale section if you want to try either.

Sort of new here.  Is there a list anywhere of BA 'phones on the market?

Many thanks Zelda.  I couldn't figure out a search to narrow it down to that.
