Nothing quite like homemade sangria on a hot summer day.

+1 (All Gin frozen of course..)

A decent Bombay G+T, usually have to argue with bartenders to get it mixed as I like it..:

3 to 4 cubes of ice
1/3 of a lime squeezed over the ice

At least a double measure of gin (50ml) poured through the squeezed lime

Then topped up with UK schweppes (not the odd versions found in other countries)

this is also poured onto the lime that is now resting on the top of the ice.

Voila enjoy.

Yet more gin, however this would be in a classic martini:

Noilly Prat (shown the glass - small amount waved around and disposed of)

Gin - 4 oz
lemon twist
one dash Angostura bitters

Here I find Tanquery 10 to be the best readily available gin, though there are numerous specialist ones that go deliciously..

Also, some vintage Champagne..

(Personal favourite - Tarlant '98 - though it is becoming fairly meaty for a champagne now...)

I'm a scotch man myself. I have too many favorites. 15 to 18 year is what I usually buy. I have a cab filled with all sort of different brands.

I like a cheap American whiskey as well. I usually break the scotch out on special occasions which is rarely. When drinking american I prefer Jack, makers mark, wild turkey 101 and Elijah Craig. I drink the american stuff mostly because I don't want to drink my expensive scotch.

I like my Whiskey or whisky neat.

I like a G&T every now and then. Currently enjoying a bottle of Hendricks gin, with Sainsbury own brand tonic, which I find has more oomph than Schweppes.

Fever Tree tonic is nice too, but the flavour is too strong for a delicate gin.

For a premade tonic, Fentiman's and Q are both worth checking out… But if you're getting the good stuff anyway, you may as well move on to mixing your own with tonic syrups — the flavor can be as strong or as light as the gin demands — at which point, I would wholeheartedly recommend Jack Rudy and Bradley's Kina syrups. Cheers!

I've tried Fentiman's ginger beer (another drink that mixes very well with gin), but it was a little lacking in the fieriness you need for a good ginger beer. I might give their tonic a go, though.

Don't know if it's available outside the U.S. but I really like **** 'n Bull ginger beer either straight up or as a mixer. Just seems to have the right balance of fiery.

A cursory search suggests that that brand isn't available in the UK, at least not in mainstream shops. Is it a ginger ale (brown, clear) or a ginger beer (off-white and cloudy)?

I like wine.

I like reds and I like Moscato.

I especially like Moscato d'Asti, slightly tingly, sweet and fruity.

I heard Paolo Saracco is one of the best d'Asti out there but have yet to try it
