For the video and pictures it will be probably open to debates before the judge on the validity of theses documents. But the bayliff being an officer of the legal system it wont be that easy to dismiss him.

As far the tear up and remodel goes: until it makes the use of your unit unsafe or unreasonably difficult to stay in it (ex. industrial odors), the only thing you are entitle to is a reduction of your monthly payment...

The thread starter is training to be a doctor and I agree 100% that he should be adopting a different approach to this and perfecting his "bedside" manner..... from what I've read he won't make make much of a Doctor carrying on like this.

Communication, understanding and dialogue between both parties is the only way to progress and I'm sure a Doctor would agree with that?

The mother is half-deaf, according to the log, and for the most part doesn't seem to be the one making these complaints. She and her mother had been there for longer than he has, so it's entirely possible that she had someone living there before with whom she didn't have problems.

I think the main problem is that any movement he makes upstairs late at night (many items from her log are at 3am) wakes her up to the point where her body purposely wakes itself up in *anticipation* of such disturbances.

Pink, we have no real idea what's going on here -- he could be a Bigfoot, or he could just be living in an extremely thin-walled apartment. She could be hearing very loud sounds, or she could be listening coinciously for *every* sound and logging it. We just don't know. But what we do know is that she's put his personal information on the internet, which is a terrible idea. So even if he is to blame for this, she stepped out of bounds by posting all thison the internet.

Well, to be fair, there are two sides to the story. I'm certainly not here saying that Ozric is evil, but there are certain things that need clearing up.

For instance, in my experience, managers don't hand out warnings lightly because they can lead to eviction. Ozric, have you been officially warned and if so, what's your side of the story?

And come on apartment dwellers, have a little consideration. Ease-up on the door-slamming, learn how to not walk like a flat-flooted monster. It doesn't mean you have to sneak, but don't clomp down, heal-first. Remember, there's a person living below you.

And remember, not everyone has your sonic appreciations, and certainly may not want to listen to music loudly when you do. This doesn't mean you have to be a mouse, sometimes you just gotta let your hair down and rock, but keep it to a mimimum, and only during reasonable hours. Remember, there are people living below you. Otherwise, may I direct you to a set of headphones?

If you're having a party, or a big huge head-fi meet, put a notice in the hallway or where people can see it. There aren't just unreasonable old ladies in the building, but also families with young babies trying to take naps, people who work the 3rd shift, and so on. Be considerate, remember you're living in close quarters.

Sure she's a bit over the top, but maybe it would be nice to show a little more consideration? I'm not coming down on you, Ozric, but it beats the alternative of going to court.

My gawd that is the funniest stuff I've read in a long time
This person is obviously mental and has no life. I am very curious to know what the horse galloping music is? I have lived in apartments or condos for a very long time and have never had much trouble with a neighbor being too loud or me being accused of being a Yeti This woman is a loser, I wouldn't worry about her. Has anyone else ever registered a complaint with management about your noise? I feel sorry for you, good luck.

My offhand guess is that there's something Ozric listens to that has a short of galloping (bi-di-boom bi-di-boom) techno beat, though I haven't actually checked his music preferences. I can't think of any other music that sounds like horses.

Even if he stops using speakers entirely and starts walking softer, he won't be able to stop the fact that his floor creeks a lot. Unless of course he learns to levitate or becomes a ninja or shoulin monk.

You know while that might play a small part, since I have a "purposeful stride" and I like to walk briskly, I don't exactly stomp around or run like she alleges. Nor do I walk around my apartment at 3 in the morning. That's just plain lies. At that hour I'm either up late working on school work at my desk, or sleeping. People who were here for the Head-Fi meet will vouch for the fact that we were producing nowhere even remotely close to the ridiculous noises she's logged for that day.

Hirsch, Jasper994, Ed and everyone else who replied with my possible course of action, thanks for your help. I'm looking into student legal services, and someone might represent me pro bono. I will also be having a meeting tomorrow with the woman and my apartment manager, since I have doubts ATT will actually remove her webpage.
