Exactly, and I'm already doing three. (although two are in the same week, just with a different group of people)

I have yet to send mine too. Dead week is death week. >.>

Still haven't decided whether to send serious thoughtful joke gift or serious thoughtful not-joke gift. Both are useful, each basically the opposite of one another. :/

Already bought my gift the old traditional way. Go to a store, buy it, pack it and then send it. Problem is, haven't packed and sent yet. I've been quite busy.

It hasn't been quite easy trying to find a gift where I live since mostly everything is in French and I can't buy from Amazon yet (my bank has been giving me a hard time recently) so I hope he or she will like my gift even if there's a HUGE language barrier (ie. the gift is in French).

Well this is ironic.

I received my gift before I had the chance to send it off. I'd feel bad if I were to open it now. Should I?

Don't do it! Well I've already bought and sent mine out (assuming the seller has sent it out...). Dunno if i've received mine yet, as it is being sent to my house and I won't be home for my vacation til Monday.

Maybe shake it up a little and guess what it is? xD

It says the following:

"Itemized list of contents:

- Book"

So shaking wouldn't really tell me much.

Worst part is that it says the name of the sender as well. And since I do know which forum member has this name, it's kinda of a big huge spoiler.
So unfortunate, but can't have everything, can we?

Well at least it's still a surprise for us.

Oooo. That sucks :(

How are you supposed to not have the sender's name unless it was a gifting service? Should the item get lost or something, the return address ought to have a name, no?

A little early obviously, but thanks a lot to Kalbee for these gifts. The book is awesome, and I'll definitely try to read it, though the lack of furigana does make it challenging. (the words are really quite easy; it's in this particular case my lack of kanji knowledge keeping me down).

The sweets were, well, I felt like throwing up. I bravely finished one of them, and I'd like to keep it at that. It's probably an acquired taste, but me, my brother and my mother can't stand it.
I'll try giving it to someone who may appreciate this more than I do. When finishing it I started to see why people would like this, but I really felt like vomiting the entire time that thing was in my mouth.

It's not really odd, since most people have the same reaction to dutch licorice as I had to this piece of candy. It's just a thing of acquired tastes.

I would call -- so far -- the secret santa operation a big success.

Exactly.
No problem if you use Amazon, but it's just impossible if you send the gift the old fashioned way.

Wait... We aren't supposed to include the name in the package? ....I thought it was the type where you reveal it in the package...whoops.
