1) I won't be able to compare DACs (Switching inputs)

2) I won't be 100% sure that I'm getting 100% of the sound quality.

You will be able to compare DACs unless they're playing at the same time and you will get the same sound quality.

You won't be able to compare them with the standard version since switching the input could fry the DAC.

Go YES PLEASE, BOTH!

Why don't you ask for non-shorted inputs on just one or two of the inputs?

Isn't that the Amp's job? ;)

I think what he meant to say is that M9 is very transparent and lets the dac go wild. Practically the DAC has more room to scale.

Actually, M9 is the most transparent headphone amplifier I have ever heard.

Well some silly people here claim otherwise XD

And yes, read what I said again, I said that this is the job of the Amp to make every DAC. I did imply that because it is transparent... a "Wire with Gain"

I don't know many people to say anything bad about the transparency of M9. Besides the short to ground inputs, I don't know of any problems with it. And if your dac supports that, well...you've got yourself an end game amplifier.

While it may be the job of every amplifier, M9 is a champ at its job compared to others :D

And that is why I've ordered it. Because I know it will rock the Rok

The problems will come later when you decide to upgrade the dac and the new one won't have it as well as if you participate in meets...
