WWWHHHHATTT, they also are doing the weird TDK sales, I had no clue. I got a pair of BA200 at Ross and love it, not sure how much better it is over the BA100, but if the BA100 are even 80% quality of the BA200, it's a keeper in my mind.

Looks like I'm gonna be heading over to TJmaxx this Sunday.

I was at a ross and then went across the street to tj maxx only like two hours ago, headphone stock between the two stores are surprisingly very similar but with ross probably have more quantity and tj maxx having more variety. Still haven't turned up any luck with finding tdk at either.

How does Marshall compare?? I got one next to a Ross, are they worth a look?

Here's what I saw at my local TJ Maxx/Marshalls but YMMV:

TDK EB900 ($16)

TDK IE800 ($30)

TDK BA100 ($30)

TDK ST800 ($50)

TDK ST700 ($40)

Philipps SHL5605BK (Brown) Citiscape Downtown ($50)

Skullcandy Aviator Roc Nation ($80) - usual street price

Skullcandy Navigator ($50)

Skullcandy Hesh 1/2 ($20-30?)

House of Marley EM-JE010-MI Jammin ($15)

House of Marley EM-JH000-DU Soul Rebel Dubwise ($30) - close to street price

Hope that helps, prices might fluctuate like the stock in your individual stores.

Are these headphones worth the $175 Amazon is asking for them in the Lightning Deal?

Unfortunately the BA100 (and the EB900 which you can also find at Ross) are not even in the same league as the BA200, IE800 and EB950.  I have them all and the BA100 has no treble whatsoever, never head a duller IEM.  Same goes for the EB900

The 200, 800 and 950 are all worth getting, the 950 (the only dynamic out of the three) doesn't get its due around here IMHO.its great sounding and has iPhone controls and mic.

They said out of stock on me when I hit it in less than 3 minutes after 7 PM.  I clicked the waitlist button and after a few minutes, they let me put one in the shopping cart.  Turns out it was $185.49 with sales tax.  Those new laws and court decisions suck a big one, but it's still a fantastic deal.  Most likely, you might stand a good chance of selling this for over what you bought it for after the first of the year.;)

That's a relief, I picked up the last EB950 from my local Ross for 10 bucks and was worried that it wasn't good since it isn't a balanced armature.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll be returning the BA100 and get another pair of the IE800 and hunt down a pair of BA200 and EB950

I put one in my cart and even went through checkout and got order confirmed. after five minutes I changed my mind and went back in and cancelled. the only open headphone I really want at this stage is a staxx (and yes I know how much more money that is). what I really am looking for until I get the staxx is a closed headphone for office use.

so someone else got my deal! :)

Is it bad that I already own a pair of the Q701's and just bought another pair?

I snagged an EB950 for 10.99 a few days ago. Sweet phone, very fun, recessed highs (not absent or muddy) but nice tight bass and mids for 10.99 can't be beat. Probably the best deal I have ever gotten, I would put them around 70-80 if I had to just guess.
