Awesome! At that price, they're pretty tough to beat. I love mine and use them as my portable pair that I can toss into a bag.

Here's the impression/appreciation/support thread:

Not necessarily, most all lossless CD rips are 16/44.....with high rez rips (DVD-Audio, Bluray audio), yes this is an issue, however, I've had 16/44 rips that sound better than some 24/96 one's. Mastering is much more important. The nice thing about the newest headwhacker Rockbox is that it includes the Lurker0 mod (which is an optimized version of the official newest iBasso FW). So, you can easily dual boot into the optimized 2.1 FW or into RB........best of both worlds and retains the ability for high rez playback........sorry this is off topic.

BTW, TTVJ has a few pair of HE-500 for $499: http://www.ttvjaudio.com/HE500_Planar_Magnetic_headphone_used_p/use0000987.htm

In the past, I've bought one for my wife (white) and one for my mother (red).  Neither is particularly an audiophile and both love the sound.  They get compliments on them often.  +1 that these make a great gift!

Hi my name is Andrew and I've been clean of the deals discussion thread for 3 weeks now. I first realized I had a problem when I would get stuck at a train crossing by my work and automatically without thinking get on head-fi to check the deals discussion thread....only to find when I look up there is no train.

Anyways its been real nice to get away from the deals discussion and enjoy music for what it is. Not wanting the next best upgrade or alternate sound at extremely attractive pricing. A breath of fresh air in the middle of a polluted industrial district. Once you get clean and exit this thread, you'll realize the many uses for your hard earned elsewhere. Stay strong guys (and gals).

Wait, how much for that DX90?? DUAL SABRE?! INTERCHANGEABLE BATTERIES?!
An HE6 for under $700?!
HD650s for $329 with full warranty?! What's this, Xba-H3 back to $250 new?!
