They came with several sizes of silicon and foamy tips. I quickly tried the foamy tips but on initial audition, preferred the silicon.....they're the ones that gave what I described as a sparkly, clear sound.......maybe it was the tips?

Not sure if u got lucky and they tuned it specially just for you tongue.gif but I bought a pair just recently(a month ago) and though they aren't muddy per say, they are very dull in comparison to several of my other iems. However I kept them around because they are super comfortable and the bass is some of the best I've heard(in terms of quality) and trust me when I say that I tried a truck load of tips on them(hybrids, wide bore, regular, comply, hifiman, etc...) The treble still wasn't sparkly by any means(though still clear) and it requires me to use a eq whenever I use them just because I find the regular signature so dull(nothing against westone but they could have tuned it much better IMO, the driver is good but the tuning is boring) only thing the default tuning has going for it is the bass(which is good for working out) also what tips did u end up using to get the sparkly treble?? Might have to make them my primary iem again(main use for iem is the gym) but as of right the kc06 blows them out of the water imo

... But anyway as long as you enjoy them that's all that matter smily_headphones1.gif

As I mentioned, the tips were the silicon ones that were originally installed (when I tried the foamy tips [comply type?], the sound was dull....reinstalling the silicon ones, the sound came back to life). I didn't mention that the eq  on my J3 was not flat (as you probably know, the sound can be tweaked quite a bit with the J3 sound processors)   .....the settings were from my previous phones, I didn't bother to change them for the ADV's, because the sound was so good. One other thing, I had been using Mee M-Duo's for the last month, or so. These ARE base heavy. Perhaps, when I switched to the ADV's, the difference made me perceive that their sound was brighter because I got used to the Mee's.....I don't know.

After you mentioned the Ostry KC06, I checked them out, and am now intrigued. You didn't mean the new model, the Ostry KC06A, did you. Amazon has the KC06 for $70.....is that a good price?

Deals, please.

Brand new Beyerdynamic T1 available right now on Buydig ebay for $739.99. This is the lowest I've seen them go for new. Good deal for anyone who might be looking for a flagship headphone!

There are literally two posts about the T1 on this very page.

You're welcome.

There's a Dragonfly 1.0 on the classifieds for $85 shipped.  I'd grab that if you're considering an E7.

Probably not the place to do this (sorry), but I'll be selling my FiiO E07k+E09k for about $120 pretty soon with their original boxes.

They're $99 new everywhere for the 1.0.  $85 is about the lowest I've seen them after shipping for a used one.
