Before I tried the FC300, I tried Onkyo's IEM.  Given the first two I tried both had issues with the connector, and there was not a third at the store for me to try out, I got my money back.  I later decided to give the FC a try and luckily this one did not have any issues.  So in my experience, it is probably unlikely that I got the only two out there with connection issues.  As far as I know Romee, the shure iem connectors should work, although I have not bought anything to test this out with.  Either way, its a damn good headphone for the price, I've only ever had minor comfort issues with it.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you. wink.gif

That's way lower than I've ever seen them.

Tyl said these are really over ears. Anybody ever measure the cup inner dimensions such as diameter and depth?

They are definitely on ears for me, but they are still pretty wide around and the pads rest just a the edge of my somewhat large ears. I think this is part of what gives it its sound signature, kinda a cavernous cup. Anyway, just measured it and it's 1.5" in diameter and a little over a half inch in depth.

Thanks, shallow cups are definitely not for my glasses wearing ears.

Now, I believe the only difference between the FC and HF is the silver cable. So, if you're going to use your own cable, you're better off just getting the FC, which is a hell of a lot cheaper due to this sale.

I demoed them for a few days. I have big ears, so I thought they were great on ears for me and the comfort was OK biggrin.gif

It's a good price! But when I heard the on-ear it was just ok... but the bass was so muddy to me. Of course, impressions vary.
