Reds = Terrible for typing/coding. Great for gaming.
Blues = Absolutely the best for typing. Bad for gaming.
Browns = Middle ground for typing and gaming.
Blacks = Gaming oriented, but harder to press than reds, most people prefer reds for gaming.

I would say it depends on personal preference. I cannot use Blues or Browns for anything. I actually prefer Black for gaming and Red for typing.

Reds are just so light and once I got use to typing on them I just cannot go back.

EDIT: I should mention that I bottom out like a man possessed. So, the bump does nothing for me.

I like the browns, they're a good compromise. I don't need the feedback and they have good actuation. I'm almost touch w/o bottoming. I mostly code and game occasionally

Please, enough with the keyboard talk.

Is Philips Fidelio L1 for $110 or Fidelio M1 for $80 on Amazon Warehouse worth it? Which one has cleaner bass--it seems like they're about the same.

I doubt you'll ever find a "deal" on a headphone stand. A few years ago, there were really only one or two mass produced stand, one from Woo that was like $45-$50. But there's been a huge jump in the number of options and prices have come down quite a bit.

I'd start here: Amazon link and then look through the related items. There's lots of stands at pretty good prices.

Or look on ebay, similar stands, similar prices.

EDIT: I think the dual referenced below is this:

Amazon has a dual headphone stand for $20 shipped. I'd get you a link but I'm on the phone.

This was actually used by a few head-fi'ers as a cheap alternative headphone stand. Just stand it up. Looks nice enough and it seemed (from the pictures I saw) to support the headphones really well.

Yep, I have one sat on my desk just beside me with the Sennheiser HD25 and the Superlux HD558B both hanging on it. Perfect.

My sister though I was mental when I asked her to bring me one back to the UK one time she visited (from Chicago) as you can't get them here :D

I bought the dual stand. It sucks and it's filmsy and made out of fiberboard. Just get the Rubbermaid 5E12.
