Posted this a few pages back but haven't pulled the trigger yet (can't waste money or get tons of phones), Havi-B3 vs Aurvana IE3 vs used Westone R3? Not too big on used IEs and don't need to buy new tips too. Listen to alternative and rock mostly, love bass and don't have an amp to boost it and spotify doesn't have an EQ for iPhones and the music EQ doesn't affect it

This should really have its own thread, and should not be in the deals discussion thread.

Anyone have personal knowledge of these?

is the deal, ok, good, very good, or definite buy at this price....based on the sound quality (I know this is subjective, but I'm interested in any opinions) . Any under $150 IEM's better?

The deal is good, for more information you need to google the model and search the IEM/Portable forum. Innerfidelity has a good review of these by Joker and I am sure you will find them in his multi iem review thread plus other reviews and impressions here on head-fi. Bottom line if you don't mind a rolled off bass, these offer an excellent introduction to dual BA based IEM's.

I have a pair of these. They are OK, but nothing special. Sort of unoffensive and middle of the road. Kind of warm and mellow. Won't offend most people, but kinda boring and doesn't shine in any particular area.

IMO, save the money and put it into something that will bring you a lot of pleasure. These IEMs are like something selected by committee - doesn't offend anyone, but nothing special about them either.

But that's just me. You might love them.

For under $100, I would recommend the Audio Technica ATH-CKM500 (mid-centric, warm, lush, and musical, but rolled off treble), the HiFiMan RE400 (detailed - leans towards neutral and analytical, but slightly warm and delicate), or the Audio Technica ATH-CKN50 (splits the difference between the two).

My favorite of three is the ATH-CKM500, though it may sound too warm and rolled off for some.

That deal is fantastic. Those are mid- centric iems but have fantastic clarity. They sound great un-amped as well but the sensitivity is somewhat an issue. On my laptop I'm having to use the volume down at 20-30%, 50% is hearing-loss loud. On the cell phone I can get to 60% comfortably.

People raved about it at $150

I can't either. My hunch is that it is stripped down HE2-A, in that it doesn't include a DAC. But again, this is just a WAG on my part. lol

There's a chance amazon support might be able to credit you the difference, i bought something then newegg had it for $40 less the next day so I called, guy couldn't help, email survey shows up and I say I'm unsatisfied, they call, and I got a $40 credit.

Otherwise I still wanted to hear if anyone could compare it to the HAVI-B3 which is always $60 and one guy said it competes with $200 in ears

I wouldn't mind that comparison too.
