[No longer available] Sennheiser HD650 BRAND NEW (Only available for a few days read inside)

Will Ship To: 48 lower states

*** THERE WERE NO TAKERS, SO HEADPHONES ARE GOING BACK TO SENNHEISER ***

OK, so here's the deal.

I managed to snag two HD650 directly from Sennheiser for $340 shipped. I really only need one pair and have no use for the second one. I have two choices, I can return the second pair to Sennheiser for full refund by refusing the package (really wish Sennheiser had better order management system that would allow you to cancel an order without having to refuse the shipment, but that's a rant for another day), or I can sell them to a fellow head-fi'er at cost.

Unfortunately "at cost" means more than $340 because whoever buys them will have to cover the shipping and paypal fees. The math works out like this: I got them for $340 with tax shipped to me, it will take about $20 to ship them by USPS insured with signature confirmation, another $11 for paypal fees (3%), and I added $4 for the gas and just in case it takes more than $20 to ship at USPS store. I will include Sennheiser receipt so you will get full 2 year Sennheiser warranty. I realize $375 is not a truly awesome price, but it's probably still better than anything you can find on web for a new pair of HD650.

Right now the headphones are being packaged by Sennheiser so I should get them by the end of the week (as long as Thanksgiving holiday doesn't interfere with the delivery). This means I only have a couple of days to call UPS and tell them to send the package back. If somebody commits to buy the headphones in the next couple of days, I will accept the package and sell it to you. I need firm commitment however, no "maybes" or "I have to think about it". If nobody comes up, then I will refuse the package so it will go back to Sennheiser.

Did not realize they're sold for less than $375 online. I'm curious are you talking about ebay/shipped from Hong Kong kind of thing, or are you talking about authorized Sennheiser resellers with full warranty?

^^^It was a lot less directly from Sennheiser a few days ago.

Head-Fi forums aren't the best place for breaking even on new items.

May I ask where? I've been looking for brand new HD650's for quite some time and missed out on the $290 deal... Thanks!

Since these were on sale recently from Sennheiser directly for $271, I'll offer $300

@HKPolice roflmao, please tell me why would I sell it to you at $75 loss when I can just return it to Sennheiser for free? Technically that deal was a one time Sennheiser price mistake, supposedly the 30% off coupon was never intended to go public, so that deal is unlikely to come back any time soon, if ever...

@humidity I searched before making this thread and I couldn't find price lower than 375 for a new pair with 2 year warranty. This is why I decided to try and sell it over here at cost in case somebody was looking for cheaper HD650. I'm a little taken aback at all the hostile responses I got, apparently people thought I was trying to make a buck or scam them or something. But who knows, maybe 375 wasn't low enough to entice people? Shrug... No matter now, the package is on its way back to Sennheiser as I type this.

P.S. the HD650 deals come around every so often, usually from Amazon. Both Newegg and Amazon had them on sale for $299 3 years ago, but newegg no longer carries them directly which leaves Amazon as the sole seller you can count on to get a deal. Last year I think they dipped to about $326 around black friday, so they can be bought for cheaper than 375, but those kind of deals usually never last more than a couple of hours, a day or two at most. The last deal about two weeks ago when I got my two pairs only lasted two hours. Your best bet is to register at slickdeals and put an alert for hd 650, or register with www.camelcamelcamel.com and sign up for price drop alert on 650's as well.
