How to play these 5.1 files

Hello

So I found today an old external hard drive with 5.1 DTS files (i think in .wav format or .dts format), some SACD .wav files and other stuff I couldn't use then 5 years ago.

Today I have some relatively new Harman Kardon reviever and a 5.1 system at home.

burning these to a dvd wouldn't work, since my cra**y dvd player won't recognize even a burned mp3 cd.

My only computer is a laptop Dell Inspire with no digital out.

What are the possible ways to hear the music in surround sound? Should I buy some extra equipment?

Thanks

Directly output the audio from the computer without letting it decode for you, and letting your amp do the work?

So did it work ?

I'd like to know how to play the files as well ?
how can I use the S/PDIF digital output device to play this ?

Foobar should be able to handle those files with the help of plugins.

DSDIFF Decoder. DTS Decoder.
