My personal favourite wass clear bass with gr07 pairing.
Will u comment on eq of x1,mainly on bass boost?
For my Sony player, my EQ settings are usually tuned towards the higher frequency. The first 2 lower frequency band are by default, followed by the other higher frequency bands gradually up a notch for every frequency (I love my highs). So the settings for my EQ would look like a nice ascending curve upwards. The X1 bass sounds more natural to me, Sony's bass sounds "boomsy" by default EQ settings at 0 decibels, in some music i had to tone down the first 2 bands by a notch.
Personally the Sony sounds more for mainstream pop / dance / club music for its "boomsy" bass. I listen to rock/metal mostly and I don't like my bass drums sounds to be "boomsy". As for the highs, I love the crashing of the cymbals.
As of now, I've loving the X1 with my EQ set to OFF. So far I'm enjoying loving the X1's sound signature without any EQ.
As for the bass boost, I can't comment as I'm not a bass lover. I'm listening it with my trusty TF10 by the way.
