Wow, didn't know that the X1 can now be used as USB DAC, when was this implemented?

Hmmm it can? I can't find any reports that it can be used as a USB DAC.

I don't think the X1 is a async usb dac.

The supplier has already confirmed on the first post also:

2, Playback supported: almost same as X3/X5,  but it can't support DSD playback and work as USB DAC like X3/X5.

Just ordered from mp4nation. Can't wait, oh my, oh my. I think I almost hear my little Cowon C2 crying in the pocket, waiting to be replaced :D

hey same! I just ordered mine from mp4nation too! opt for the fedex shipping tho, how about you?

Was thinking about it but then checked free shipping. A couple days more, week maybe, i can live with it (or I hope so :D)

I like this design better than the x3 and x5. I could never remember the weird button placement on the x3, and the x5 loves to shuffle by itself when it's in my pocket.

Just bought one from pitbull audio.

Does fiiO have any plans on making full aluminium version? I don't think I'll like the look/feel of the plastic back.

Oh my, look what just arrived! Now this is going to get interesting. The X1 meets the AP100

The burn in has commenced on the big brother and commentary will follow after I've got some listening time in. I can say this right off the bat...The Ap100 drives the Havis very well straight from the HO and I don't think I will need the Sap-5 at all.

X1 vs AP100, not in the same league.  When you switch AP100 to 24b/192k internal re-sampling, it surpasses even X5 in sound quality, though X5 has a ton of its own other advantages ;)

In comparison to smartphone, X1 is indeed a hi-fi dap :D  Pair up X1 (LO output) with E11k, and you will be definitely getting into an entry level hi-fi!!!
