Is there any information on whether or not the back of the X1 will be plastic even in the final production model ? By the way why did they chose to do champagne color instead of something like black ?

Has anyone compared this to a latest generation ipod classic, unamped? I'm really interested but I want to make sure i'm taking a step forward, not a lateral.

Does anyone know when this will be available in the US?  I plan on purchasing this because I don't like taking the X3 out of the house.

Yes, assuming it is not one of the many fake Sandisk floating around. Both my pair of 32Gig and a 64Gig Sandisk work fine. Using a card reader gives me a faster transfer rate. Using the X3-supplied cable take a lot of minutes to fill up my 64Gig.

ive just talked to mp4nation and they said they declare it as a gift and much lower value. such that you wont need to pay customs unless u get really unlucky and they open your package
