What?

No one can blame you for not sifting through 100 pages, but in this case your answer was literally 3 posts up.

I rest my case. Put some effort in it man. 3 posts up is too much to read. come on... I even told you were to find the answer.

And that's not sarcasm.

Grenadier,

As far as I know, about a year ago, DSD was a very high premium feature that you could only enjoy on desktop setups costing more than $1000 , today some generous manufacturers such as FiiO / Ifi are offering DSD as from $200. I still believe that bluetooth and nfc are gimmic features on a hi res dap, serious audiophiles always ask for better DACs , more powerful amps and great battery performances, I think that wifi is useful for OTA updates and MQS streaming but the 2 others are subjective

Will there be a stacking kit for the X1+e12?

I doubt that they'll make a kit specifically for the E12, but i'm certain that FiiO will create a stacking kit

I'd assume the kit will work like the X5's, which means it's designed to hold any amp you can stretch the rubber bands around, within reason.

Hi

The X1 is looking to be a good upgrade option as the posts roll in and I can't wait till it's released in the UK! James, any idea on a release date?

Anyway, as my old Sony DAP doesn't have enough power to drive the line in on my car stereo and the headphone socket on my phone is starting to break from plugging/unplugging, I was looking to get an X3, but now there's the X1... So, what I'd like to know is:

a) Is the line out "volume" of the X1 as good as the X3? i.e. will it drive my car stereo as good as my phone?

b) How robust are the headphone/line-out sockets of the X1/X3? I'm not one for trashing my gear, but I'd like to be sure the sockets will stay reliable as I'd be using the X1 (or X3), as the sound source in my car and for portable listening.

Cheers

1, we plan to ship the X1 from 20th, Sept. so it takes maybe 10 days to launch UK market.

2, the line out level of X1 is smaller than X3 cause some car audio have problem to handle the 2.0V line out signal from X3.

3, we have handle the headphone/line out socket very careful.

the stacking kit is design for player not for special combo. so you can use the kit for X1+E12, but it will not looks very good cause the difference in width.
