EDIT: I have been listening the player for a while, but if I am middle of a CD the player doesn't remember where I was if I close the player... Any way to fix this or is there a setting for this?

EDIT:2 Anyways to remove the player from using album art, I heard or more like read somewhere it uses more battery?

Sorry about all the questions, but I am just new to the player and btw it sounds epic.

My 128GB card is 75% full and there is no difference in speed. I would assume the in the ipod case the hdd has something to do with the slowdown. Here you're dealing with flash memory.

E1: Play Settings -> Resume Mode -> Position

E2: I don't think there is an option for that besides removing all album art from your music. I would love my X1 much more if it had that option bc album art noticeably slows down the UI and hides the track info after a few seconds. No settings to change that whatsoever. I bet it's a simple firmware addition.

Is there a way I get the artist name to be displayed permanently when a song is playing. Right now it disappears right after changing tracks displaying only the title of the track currently playing.

Unfortunately right now the only way is to remove any album art from your files...

Soo i got a question i have eph 100 I pair it up with the nx1 with the fiio x1 seems pretty loud with the box and arrow setting one but then i set the setting to the headphone one and the sound quality is better but dosent seem loud until i turn the nob. Is it ok to use the nx1 with a iem or headphone at the headphone setting and not the box and arrow one. I dont want to damage my iem or anything.

i guess if thats fine then i can carry my nx1 around

there is no problem to doing that if you're fine with it. in fact I suspect many people to do just that so they can use the EQ. the noise floor is probably better using the line out, but noise floor is only a problem when you hear it ^_^. if you get some hiss in the background of your music, just up the volume level on the DAP and lower it on the nx1 until you don't.

Thanks I compared using nx1 on my fiio with headphone setting and without the nx1 I can tell a difference.

There seems to be aloud noise when I use the nx1 high volume and low volume on dap that if I unplug the nx1 connector to the fiio it makes a loud unplugging noise. Scared of the nx1 is actually processing a lot of power to my iem. Is it ok to turn the volume on X1 up I don't want it to process a lot of power or something

sure. when the X1 is maxed out it has the voltage output of the line out, so you can very much use it like that and just set the volume on the nx1. we could discuss high fidelity principles, but the X1 is clean, the nx1 from the feedback I've read seems to also have a low noise floor, so just use whatever sounds best to you and is convenient.

so if i higher my x1 volume will this damage my x1 when using nx1? because wouldnt the fiio x1 be sending more voltage or something

why would you want anything to be damaged? the maximum voltage of the X1 is below 2V so any amp is made to deal with that, no risk of clipping anything. and how many volts from the nx1 into your headphone is exactly how loud you hear the music. more voltage= louder, so if it isn't deafening loud, it cannot be dangerous for anything.

it's good to be prudent, but you really have no motive to be worry here. just set the volumes to whatever feels right and enjoy

like a line out ^_^.  and has different impedance output, bypasses EQ too, and delivers about 1.5v which is pretty nice for portable gear so you don't need a X25 gain setting on the amp.
