Suggestions for replacement for Miles Davis Tribute

I LOVE my miles davis tributes, but as one pair has already broken and I'm using the second pair very gingerly, I am in the market for a replacement.  I know I can get replacements, but they're brittle, and the risk for buying a fake is high.

Basically, I want to know if anyone has suggestions for headphones (IEM's and full size) that have the MOST SIMILAR SOUD SIGNITURE  to the Tributes.  I have a pair of the Gold turbines and I think the bass is overpowering.  The tributes have strong bass but everything else still sounds fantastic.  Also, from reading it seems the HD650's have a similar sound.  Can anyone that has listened to both chime in on this?

PS I have searched the forums already for what seems similar, please only comment if you've actually heard the tributes and know their sound signature.  No pontificating :)

Thanks!!

I'm looking for the answer myself.  Just posted a separate thread.  Loved them, but they're discontinued and so are the Trumpets.

I went with the Audeze LCD-2's.  They are phenomenal.  A lot like the miles davis tributes in that they are lush and thick but better detail retrieval (which the tributes were already great at).  I highly recommend them as a full size headphone replacement although they are quite a bit more.

I have tried the monster coppers which are a few steps behind the tribute.  Got them as a replacement on the lifetime warranty.  They are similar, except the bass is more pronounced and bleeds (or urines) all over the rest of the range.  Good workout headphones though since they have the lifetime warranty.

Anyone want to comment on the HD650's?

Also fyi the monster trumpets with a Digizoid Z02 sounded a lot like the tributes = fantastic.  Unfortunately they are out of production as well, what a shame that both fantastic headphones are gone.
