T-PEOS H-100J and DAC release!!! - Page 3

I'm a warmer, bassier sound guy, but curiosity of hybrid IEMs and an empty wallet makes me take a look at these. I generally listen to EDM and R&B, but I have other phones to take care of that.
Any impressions on how they are for classical music?

The mids are recessed a decent amount, bass and treble forward, but they're playing some violin tracks right now decently if not a little squeaky. Their tonality leans cool pushing through in the upper mid range, timbre is almost slighty metallic to me, so not the most natural sounding earphone around. I need to find out how much $ USD theyre to allocate any real value.

Ah thanks for all the info H20Fidelity, unfortunately it seems Im too late I think. No DAC for me until January...
On a positive note, Kwon (from T-PEOS ) informed me it works for all androids, including the Galaxy series. It also works with laptops if you have the adaptor.

I think everyone gets the dac/amp in January. On T-PEOS' website it says that it will start shipping on 1/15.

Btw it seems that they have changed how the dac/amp will look.

I think this design is a lot better than the one they had up before.

I guess the product design itself was still under way.

It says that it will work for all android phones...so I'm guessing it will work for both 5 pin and 11 pin micro usb??

Oh cool. Hmm I personally think the original design looked nicer to me, but this works too.
Yeah I would assume either plug works, so long as you have the adaptor.

I've been listening for a few days now, I can't say that harshness in the upper mid is agreeable to me. I really want to see T-Peos succeed, and they had every chance to correct their H-100J although it seems in favour of correcting some errors on the previous model they've also introduced (or left untied) a few other symptoms. They're ok if you listen at lower volumes but the harshness in the upper mids that pushes through (in detail) until it becomes grainy is not something that should be there. It's going to cause early fatigue and make them sound off putting.

I actually have to tone them down with Sansa Clip+ because my Hisound players emphasis the area in question.
Lets see what some of the tour members think in a couple of weeks.

This all sounds like issues found in the sound signature of the FXT90 and it's bigger brothers?? I got a pair of the original H-100's for $80. I'll check them out when they arrive, and if I don't like them, i'll sell. I'm passing on the new version, regardless of how cheap they are.

To be fair, the harshness I'm speaking about is rather genre focused, something like Taylor Swift really brings it home for example in her track 'Breathe'  embedded below when she hits high notes they peak and throw out a harshness, it's not during an entire song, there's a certain frequency they're hitting not agreeing. You can get through 2,3 songs without an obvious issue but you're contantly waiting for it to occur once you've heard it which is distracting.

They're definitely a little warmer in the mid range than I remember the first series and I've been throwing so many vocal tracks at them these past few days. it's just that damn peak/harshness needs to be addressed. the vocals sound full now and the mid range thicker.  They do have some very nice bass from that dynamic driver, good detail and clarity, I enjoy the bass over some expensive IEM's I have here. I really really like the low end.

I think maybe that's why they're only selling these as a limited edition. Let people try them out and see what response they get. The upper mid fatigue has made me give them a rest in my pelican case for a little while haha.

Well, it's cause I use an HTC One and the charger port is not at the bottom middle.
