I was planning on getting that cable after I'd got some decorating done to my home, but I decided to place an order for one now. I've ordered it with a 4 pin XLR and Y-Split Logo Heatshrink. I've also noticed they do DHC Ultrashort Adapters, so I'll be seeing about getting two next year.

Good on you. Put in a near identical order except I'm getting the dual 3 pin XLRs.

You have the GSX MK2 what is the LCD x like with that amp? maybe you have covered this already?

Thanks kothganesh, and well done for ordering yours.
Because I'll mainly be using my LCD-XC with my GS-Xmk2, and I've got my reclining chair at the side of my audio gear, I've opted for the cable at 4ft long. Next year I'm seeing about getting a 4 pin XLR ( female ) to 1/4" male adapter from Double Helix cables which will able me to use my LCD-XC with my Pico Slim / iPod. I've used my LCD-XC with that portable combo before and I'm very impressed with what I heard.

Sorry but it's the LCD-XC I have, I've never heard the LCD-X . I'm very pleased with how the LCD-XC sounds, especially with it being a closed headphone, in fact ATM I'm listening to it with the GS-Xmk2 more then I am my 009 / BHSE. Having said that, I do like to leave the BHSE on power for at least an hour before I listen to anything.

Thanks, I actually meant the XC but forgot to type the C.

Gee whiz, why didn't I think of that? I have my iPod/CLAS -dB/SR 71B combo which is a potent one. The Amp has a balanced out as well. I must see if I can get such a termination adapter from DHC. Thanks for the idea.

I believe Double Helix have such adapters on their website, there's a list under DHC Ultrashort adapter.

I think they charge $100 for a 4-pin xlr to 1/4" adapter which is sorta ridiculous given that Steve at Q Audio sells his for $30. with a headphone cable.

Thank you for this info, however when I'm ready to order such an adapter, I don't want any cable used, and I also don't know if using anything from Q Audio along with the DHC complement(2) will change the SQ in anyway.

You definitely want a bit of cabling otherwise the adapter will be way too cumbersome and mess up your 1/4" jack. A female 4-pin XLR to male 1/4" adapter without a short cable would be like 6 inches long or something.

hey!

They sent me the Compliment(2) cables for review - which are the ones I've raving about.

They also sent me these adapters (I believe the ones mentioned above) that I really dig: For use w/ my HD800's.

I just plug the short adapters in at the Audeze end - then I've also got the same cable for my 800's!

LOVE that

Sorry my mistake, it's 1/8" I need, not 1/4".

So early next year I'll be ordering a 4 pin XLR ( female ) to 1/8" (male ), and 1/8" ( female ) to 4 pin XLR ( male ) .

The 4 pin to 1/8" will be used for when I want to listen to my LCD-XC ( using the DHC 4 pin XLR Complement 2 cable I've ordered ) with my Pico Slim / iPod.
The 1/8" to 4 pin XLR will be used for when I want to listen to my UM Miracles via my GS-Xmk2's 4 pin socket.

Finally an Audeze Headphone usable in the cafe……  totally enjoyed the music coming from the ZX1.

The LCD-XC's could be used as portable headphones and they sound very good with my Pico Slim / iPod, however I'd never use them for that because IMO they don't isolate very well, and they leak. If I was wanting to listen to music outside, I'd always choose my UM Miracles.
