"Traktor Audio 2" paired with Sennhiser 598?? Amp? Amp/soundcard?! i'm lost!

Longish post but HELP ME and i would thank u like no other! I would appreciate anyone who could break down a few things for me.. Here is my (not impressive XD) setup; I'm currently producing at home with a laptop and the "Traktor Audio 2" external soundcard with the v-moda80 headphones. I'm thinking of getting expensive full-size open-back headphones but i'm not sure what i need! NOW here is where i'm lost..

Ohms impedance is the first:Is my external soundcard INCREASING the ohms?! Would i need an amp with it and if so, why?? What is an amp/soundcard actually doing? What's my external souncard impedance anyways?

Second is headphones; if i'm getting a better and higher ohms consuming headphones, which open-backs would u suggest for producing House/Trap/Dubstep? under 300$.. Yea yea i know i should produce with monitors but try to work with me here guys :)

Also which of these do u prefer- Sennheiser HD598/600/650 and is it worth the price difference?

To me, the Traktor Audio 2 seems more like an external DAC with two 1/4" stereo line-outputs, that pretend to also function as 1/4" headphone jacks.

I would guess(?) the line-outs on the Traltor Audio 2 have a higher impedance (Ohms) then what would be desirable for normal headphone use (so you might be getting a bloated bass with the headphones).

I would suggest getting a Schiit Magni headphone amplifier, $99 and plug it into one of those 1/4" using one of the cables (1/4" stereo TRS to RCA (red/white) that came with the Traktor.

Try plugging the V-moda 80s into the Magni and see if the sound quality improves.

Then if you can budget for new headphones, if the V-Moda 80s still is not good enough for you.

Thank u for the reply! U mind taking a look at this link below and telling me what u think? Should i be worried that the Frequency response is not as good as the headphones's? doesn't it mean lower quality? What else am i missing here from these specs?! I'm willing to put down a lot of money to upgrade my production tools, just not sure what to do here :(
