I can't find a direct comparison. Can somebody point out the differences, pros/cons, etc.

I've had the M-100s for about a week and half now.  My UE6000s should be here on Wed and can make some direct comparisons then.

I'm quite interested as well: I've been looking for some closed over-the-ear's that don't require amplification for mobile listening.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I have the UE6000, and without the NC function enabled, they've just loud enough at full volume on my S4.  Not a problem, but I would prefer a little more room up top.

Does the noise canceling make them louder?

Yeah, boosts the bass and treble a bit.  See the Innerfidelity review for deets.

I knew it boosted bass, but I wasn't sure if it made it louder.

am the opposite of deltasun: have had the UE6000 for the last week, M100 on order (will take a few weeks...in Australia).

there's this thread, if you didn't see it:

i find the UE6000 are ok unamped from my clip zip (particularly with the NC/bass boost turned on), but i think they definitely sound best in passive mode with a bass boosting amp.

Thanks for linking me to that thread! After reading that I am somewhat leaning towards the UE6000s. I would like to hear some other opinions, though.

Another option has come into play. The FA-003. If I did get this it would be along with the CMoy BB from JDS Labs, to boost the bass a bit, and overall improve SQ. The only downside to these would be portability. Thoughts on this option?
