Recently factory upgraded with firmer pads and improved damping material behind drivers. (foam).

These are the best headphones I've heard by a mile. They were when I got them… and, with the updates, they are even better.

I enjoyed them for a few months on a daily basis while working at home. When I got a full-time job about a year ago, I have not listened to them much at all. I have some Grados that work nicely at work. At home, I now have a substantial speaker set up. So… these should go to someone who will use and enjoy them.

I ran them almost exclusively with my Woo Audio WA22 (also for sale). Incredible.

More recently, I tried them with my ModWright LS100 preamp. Also awesome!

Also for your consideration, I have a (nearly?) one-of-a-kind headphone cable from Grover Huffman. I have enjoyed Grover's interconnects for years and had him build me a custom cable for my LCD-3s. The resultant cable is a unique dielectric in air design with two separate runs (one for each channel) from head to tail. Originally, these came with a sheath that held the two halves together but this seemed cumbersome and made the cable as flexible as a garden hose (i.e. not-at-all). I can't blame Grover for this as most people don't need to manipulate their interconnects as they would a headphone cable. I removed the outer sheath down to the point where the two halves come together. I will post a pic. The cable is terminated with an XLR balanced type connector but I had Grover built a pig-tail to 1/4 jack to the same spec. I paid ~$350 and am convinced it was worth every dime. Because of the strange split-format of the cable and because it was more or less a prototype, I'm asking only $150.

Pics!

For my price, I will include PayPal fees and shipping to lower 48.

thank you.

Chris
